ISS Vanguard is a cooperative campaign board game for 1-4 players. It will take players straight into an epic science-fiction adventure, as they play in 4 sections (Security, Reconnaissance, Science, Engineering) aboard the first human vessel with the prospect of reaching space. The campaign presents the story written by Krzysztof Piskorski (Tainted Grail), full of tough player choices, twists and branching narrative. The game will include over 100 different crew members, each with unique traits.
The gameplay is divided into 2 main phases: the ship phase and planetary landings.
During the ship phase, players will manage their ship, where each section must make decisions for the game. Then, you will prepare your crew for the landing on the next planet, in search of answers to humanity's biggest questions. Together you will choose the landing craft and outfit it with modules, then each section will select a crew member to undertake a mission ( the more experienced crew members will be higher-ranked ), will build a skill deck, will take equipment and will choose dice for their character.
Throughout all phases of the games players will be directed to the Log-book, which consists of story encounters, often written in the form of action-packed dialogues between the characters.
