You travel back to Greece in 370 B.C. to the island of Kos. Hippocrates has just died and this leads to many doubts regarding the duration of his medical activities. As one of his successors, you lead a team of physicians. Your aim is to ensure the continued treatment of patients at the Temple of Asclepius. A place that later became known as the first hospital in history. Become Hippocrates' rightful successor! Increase your reputation so patients from all over the Mediterranean come hoping to receive the best treatment that has ever existed.

How to play the game

The game lasts four rounds, with each round divided into five phases:

1. Reception. Each player welcomes up to three patients into their hospital. You must choose your patients carefully, as all patients need urgent care and some may be easier to treat than others. But be sure to help the most needy, otherwise you will lose your reputation as a doctor.
2. Payment. You must pay your doctors, otherwise you risk them leaving.

3. Recruitment . In this phase, players try to hire new doctors and buy medicine kits. If a player acquires both, they receive a bonus.
4. Treatment. Now it is time to treat the patients. Players must puzzle carefully and connect the right patients with the right doctors to maximize their assets.
5. Scoring. Players count victory and reputation points and prepare the board for the next round.

Hippocrates combines auction, tile placement, resource management and much more to create an exciting blend. This will challenge each player to better manage their patients and strive to become a worthy successor of Hippocrates.
