The Trivial Pursuit Classic with the classic game and board contains 2.400 questions in 6 categories: Geography, Entertainment, History, Art and Literature, Science and Nature and Sports and Leisure. In Trivial Pursuit Classic, players move around the board answering questions. When a player lands on a category space, they will earn the corresponding colored wedge if they answer the question correctly. The first player to collect 6 wedges of different colors and to answer a final question correctly wins!
A few words about the various editions that have been released to date:
Over the years, many editions of Trivial Pursuit have been produced, usually specializing in various areas. The original edition is known as the Genus edition (or Genus I). Several different general knowledge editions followed (such as Genus II). Other editions include the Junior Edition (1985), All-Star Sports, Baby Boomers, 1980s, All About the 80s, 1990s, Harry Potter and others. In total, more than 100 different editions have been printed in various languages.
In the United Kingdom, Trivial Pursuit players complained that the 2006 edition of the game was downgraded compared to previous editions, with easier questions and greater emphasis on celebrities and show business.
