The Trio board game is the new reissue of the popular Nana and offers a simple yet highly strategic card game experience for 3 to 6 players. With a playtime of only 15 minutes and a colorful, festive aesthetic, Trio is ideal for families, groups, and parties.
In the Trio card game, players try to find trios of numbered cards (1 to 12). If they manage to get three matching cards, they keep the set. The first player to collect three trios, or the set of 7s, or two sets with a difference of 7 (e.g. 4 and 11), wins. The game also offers a “spicy mode” for more dynamic gameplay and a team mode for 4 or 6 players.
The mechanism is simple but requires memory, strategy, and observation. Cards in hand are sorted and revealed only from the ends (highest or lowest), while there are also hidden cards on the table. The element of luck is balanced by smart tracking of the moves.
