Pop! Figure Iron Maiden Eddie Somewhere in Time
Eddie (also known as Eddie the Head) is the mascot of the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He is a permanent feature of the band's artwork, appearing on all of their album covers (as well as on most of their singles) and on their merchandise, which includes T-shirts, posters and action figures. In addition, Eddie appears at all of the band's concerts, as well as in the first-person shooter video game, Ed Hunter, the mobile game, Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast and in a pinball game of the same name in 2018.
Originally it was a papier-mâché mask used in Iron Maiden's stage set; the band transferred the name “Eddie” from the mask to an illustration by Derek Riggs, which was used as the cover of the band's first album. Although occasionally described in the press as “zombie”, Eddie takes different forms related to the themes of the individual albums and their respective world tours, and has appeared, among others, as a cyborg, an Egyptian mummy and a lobotomised psychopath.
