Pop! Figure Disney Classic Bambi Thumper
Thumper is one of the supporting characters of Disney's 1942 animated film, Bambi. He is a rabbit and got his name from his habit of thumping his left hind foot.
Thumper is a young, funny rabbit and is also a well-known resident of the forest. Although viewers mistakenly take him for female, he is actually male. He was the first and closest friend of Prince Bambi, in whom he sees great potential for amazing things. He takes the young fawn “under his wing” and teaches him the ways of the forest, to a degree.
The character was a significant influence on the development of the 1942 film Bambi, which began production with an adult tone that seemed very serious and noncommercial. With the voice of then 4-year-old Peter Behn, Thumper's lively character was expanded from his original secondary role and led to the focus on the young animals of the story.
