The Order of the Gilded Compass is a dice game for 2 to 5 players. In this game, each player takes on the role of a treasure hunter seeking to join the most distinguished secret Society of Archaeologists. Players will travel across the globe to unearth valuable artifacts. By placing their archaeological die in the right locations at the right time, players obtain treasure maps and specialists to follow them, they will dive for sunken treasures, claim rare finds at the auction house, and even seek the help of the Illuminati. The player with the most treasures at the end of the game will receive an invitation from the Order of the Gilded Compass and will be the winner.
The Order of the Gilded Compass uses a different one each time set-up to create an interesting gameplay. Each game has five locations on the board where players can place their die for various kinds of treasures and bonuses. It also includes nine different buildings that allow for many unique combinations.
