Welcome ashore! Merchants Cove is an extremely asymmetric euro game where each player takes on the role of a different fantasy merchant with a unique shop. Merchants compete to sell their wares to the adventurers who arrive at the cove's docks – the most famous markets in the Five Kingdoms. Each player uses their own set of components and game mechanisms to produce their goods, increase their shop's efficiency and - most importantly - get rich!
Although merchants operate independently in their specialized shops, they compete with each other to attract customers, influence demand for goods and secure patronage from the four halls of the factions. To gain an advantage, merchants can hire local townspeople to work in their shops as staff. Or if they dare to cut corners, they can gain leverage from the corrupt nest of scoundrels – but at what cost? After three days of selling at the markets, the wealthiest merchant will be declared the winner!
