Glen More II: Chronicles is a reissue of Glen More while adding additional content. Each player embodies the representative of a Scottish clan, from the beginning of the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The success of your clan depends on your ability to make the right decisions: whether it is about cultivating e.g. barley for whisky production, or selling goods in various markets as well as collecting other points (through castles ..)
The main mechanism of Glen More II works as follows: the active player takes a tile from a time track, moving along it as far as they wish. After paying the cost, the player places the tile on their land, thereby activating both that tile and all adjacent ones (production, movement, victory points, etc.)
The word “Chronicles” in the title refers to eight expansions. Each chronicle adds a mechanism to the base game. “Highland Boat Race”, for example, tells the story of a boat race in which the winner must reach his castle first after sailing his boat along the river, passing through all the other players' areas. The Chronicles can all be combined together, but the designer recommends using one, at most two at a time.
