The Lewis and Clark expedition was the first group of men to cross the North American continent, from 1803 to 1806. During these three years, the leaders of the expedition Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, as well as the sergeants Gass and Ordway, fill hundreds of pages, recounting the various stages of their journey, describing their botanical and zoological discoveries and mapping areas until then unknown to Americans.
In this game you take on the role of one of the expedition leaders : Lewis, Clark, Gass and Ordway. Your goal is to record as much knowledge as you can in your journal and thus advance science thanks to your work. The information you can record in your journal is of 3 types :
– geographical : you map the territories you have crossed
– biological : you discover various species of plants and animals
– ethnological : you encounter Native American tribes
These cards allow you to earn points in three different ways. At the end of the game you will add :
– the points on the Discovery cards of your Journal
– the points for each row of different types in your Journal
– the points based on the number of scenes appearing on the Discovery cards and on the Tribe cards.
