ALIEN RPG: Heart of Darkness – Cinematic Scenario
The ALIEN RPG: Heart of Darkness is a complete Cinematic Scenario for the ALIEN RPG by Free League Publishing, written by Andrew E.C. Gaska. It is a standalone science fiction and survival horror adventure that can be played without having previously completed the other scenarios in the series. At the same time, it serves as the dramatic finale of the Draconis Strain Saga, after the Chariot of the Gods and Destroyer of Worlds. The game requires the ALIEN RPG Core Rulebook or the ALIEN RPG Starter Set.
In ALIEN RPG Heart of Darkness, Weyland-Yutani has discovered a new form of life and is seeking a team capable of studying it, assessing its potential applications, and returning with samples. The mission leads the characters to the space station Erebos, where the exploration evolves into a dark tale of horror, danger, and paranoia.
The scenario follows the Cinematic Play of the ALIEN RPG, emphasizing intense storytelling, pre-generated characters, personal agendas, exploration, and the characteristic sci-fi survival horror of the ALIEN universe.
The boxed set includes the Heart of Darkness scenario book, a large double-sided map 864 × 558 mm of Erebos, 7 pre-generated characters, special cards for secret messages and personal agendas, as well as player maps and handouts.
The adventure is designed for 3–5 players and one Game Mother. It can function as a standalone story or as the final chapter of the Draconis Strain Saga.
Important: The Heart of Darkness is not a standalone RPG product in terms of rules. It requires the ALIEN RPG Core Rulebook or Starter Set to be played.
