The Thing : The Board Game is a “hidden roles” game, in which one player is initially the Thing and the other players are humans. The Thing's goal is to infect the others. To prevent the survivors from escaping the base or to try to escape with them by behaving as a human.
Besides these elements, players must also manage Outpost 31. The game's board shows the same rooms that appear in the film. Each of these rooms allows players to perform a different action. Human players must eat and keep the boiler and the generator running to avoid the cold and the darkness. The Thing will try to sabotage these areas to make life difficult for the humans. Or maybe not, of course, trying to camouflage itself among the humans and infect them when the perfect opportunity presents itself.
You must cooperate to survive – but who is really on your side? And if you reveal the Thing – are you ready to fight it? The road to victory is really difficult, but not impossible. But be careful!
