TZAAR is a game about making choices. Both players have 30 pieces, divided into three types: 6 Tzaars, 9 Tzarras and 15 Totts. The three piece types form a triad: They cannot exist one without the other. The goal is either to make your opponent run out of one of the three piece types or to put them in a position where they cannot capture any more. The hard question players must ask themselves each turn is: “Should I make myself stronger or make my opponent weaker;” This means: “The opponent must do the same for himself: Will you capture an opponent's piece and make them weaker or will you jump on one of your own pieces and become stronger;” If you choose to jump on your own pieces too often, you may leave your opponent with too many pieces on the board. On the other hand, if you capture too often, you may end up with pieces that are not strong enough at the end of the game. What should you do; It is in your hands to decide!
