The Fantasy Realms: The Cursed Hoard Expansion includes two independent modular expansions, which can be used separately or simultaneously, significantly increasing the replayability and strategy of the game.
The first module introduces the Cursed Items, a new deck of items that offers each player a powerful special ability. Players can use their item at the right moment to gain a significant advantage, such as extra turns, hiding discarded cards, or even keeping more cards in their hand. However, each use has a cost, as Cursed Items deduct points at the end of the game, creating an excellent dilemma between immediate benefit and final score.
The second module adds three brand new tribes (Suits) to the game: Buildings, Outsiders, and Undead. The new cards create dozens of additional combinations (card combos), dramatically increasing the possible strategies and completely refreshing each game. The new synergies work seamlessly with the cards from the base game, offering even greater depth without increasing the complexity of the rules.
