A Place for All My Books is a relaxing cozy strategy board game with books, dedicated to that little joy known to every book lover: acquiring books, organizing them, and of course… finding space for even more! Designed by Alex Cutler and Michael Mihealsick, and the company Smirk & Dagger Games, it is a strategy game for 1–4 players with a puzzle character and a particularly warm aesthetic.
In the game, you organize stacks of books in the different rooms of your apartment, trying to complete personal projects. Each success offers you rewards and renews the famous social battery, giving you the necessary energy to go out again in the village and —what else?— acquire more books.
The game unfolds over nine rounds. Players visit different locations, gather books, and complete objectives for Victory Points. The challenge lies in effective organization and combining as many goals as possible when performing the action “Admire”.
The main mechanics include Pattern Building and Worker Placement, creating a strategy game that remains accessible, calm, and highly thematic. The colorful book tiles further enhance the feeling that you are creating your own little personal library.
A Place for All My Books also features a complete solo mode, where you face Penelope Eveready, an tireless opponent who seems to constantly beat you to the books you wanted.
