The Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation is a strategy and bluffing board game for 2 players, set in the epic world of The Lord of the Rings. Designed by the renowned designer Reiner Knizia, the game offers fast-paced action, tactical thinking and dynamic confrontations between Good and Evil.
Players choose a side: either the Dark Lord Sauron, trying to recover the Ring, or the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, aiming to destroy it in Mount Doom (Mount Doom). The characters are inspired by Tolkien's trilogy, featuring iconic figures such as Gandalf, Frodo, Nazgul and Gollum.
The Deluxe edition of The Confrontation includes a larger board, new figures, refreshed artwork and 18 new characters, providing a renewed experience each time. Additionally, 4 new special cards are added that enhance strategy.
