Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje struggle to protect their nation from global forces intervening after the death of King T’Challa. As Wakanda tries to embrace the next chapter, the heroes must join with Nakia and Everett Ross to chart a new path for their beloved kingdom.
Shuri is the brave and technologically savvy younger sister of T’Challa and daughter of T’Chaka and Ramonda, both former monarchs of Wakanda. Extremely intelligent and an exceptional engineer, she is Wakanda's chief scientist and the country's princess. After her father's death, Shuri helps her brother claim the Wakandan throne from their cousin N’Jadaka and then helps remove the programming from Bucky Barnes.
Later, she helps the Avengers by attempting to use her technology to safely remove the Mind Stone from Vision's head. However, she is stopped by Corvus Glaive and shortly after falls victim to the Blip. After being brought back to life, she takes part in the battle against a different Thanos. After the death of her brother and her mother, she becomes the new Black Panther, defeats Namor in battle and forms an alliance with Talokan against the rest of the world.
