Dense fog has covered the fields, swallows the meadows and reaches the city walls. Even the bravest knights tremble, and their armors creak when they hear the legend from the monks: «The fog awakens the restless souls of the Κριτών, who were hunted in the Crusades. And they come to demand justice!»
In the first cooperative game in the world of Carcassonne, you must cooperate to restore peace to the region. Restless ghosts, terrifying cemeteries and castles rising above the fog await you. 6 levels introduce you step-by-step to the various elements and rules of The Mist Over Carcassonne, and then bring you face-to-face with increasingly difficult challenges!

The Fog Over Carcassonne is a cooperative edition of the well-known tile-laying game Carcassonne. Working together, you place tiles and score points while trying to stop the spread of ghosts, limit haunted land to the graveyards, and use haunted castles to your advantage. If too many ghosts roam the land or if you have accumulated too few points when the tiles run out, you lose the game. If you manage to survive three days, you can adjust the game's difficulty level to increase the challenge.

The game includes 45 meeples in two new types and 60 tiles that match the artwork of the 2021 edition of Carcassonne, and it includes rules for how you can incorporate the material into a standard competitive Carcassonne game.
