Five and in the Hand
In the card game Snack Rabbits, you want to grab as many vegetables as possible, ideally monopolizing one or two types for a full meal.
To start, shuffle the deck, which contains seven types of vegetables, with each type having 6-12 cards - each card also has a die showing a number from 2-6. Place the fences showing the numbers 2-6 and then shuffle Farmer Benno into the bottom of the deck. Each player takes a colored die, with all white dice placed in the center of the table.
In a row, reveal the top card from the deck and place it under the fence showing the corresponding die number. Then choose either to STOP and take a white die from the supply, or to JUMP and attempt to pass the fence. Choose one of the fences (2-6) and then roll your colored die and as many white dice as you wish from your supply. If any die shows a value equal to or greater than the fence, you claim all vegetable cards under that fence and return all the white dice you rolled to the supply. If you fail, keep all the dice you rolled.
When the farmer Benno is revealed, the end of the game is approaching, and no more cards are added to the fences. Continue to play until you claim all the cards that have been revealed, and then score your stockpile. If you have the majority of a type of vegetable, e.g. eggplant, which has 12 cards, then you earn points equal to the number of cards of that type: 12 points for eggplants! Anyone else who has eggplants gets 1 point for each card they have. (Ties favor majorities).
Whoever scores the most points wins.
