Tsuyu has proven to be an extremely capable individual. Using the frog-like abilities granted to her by her Quirk, Tsuyu has capabilities in both close-range and long-range combat. She employs a fighting style that includes great agility and powerful jumps to evade, surprise, and confuse her opponents, as well as to use the increased strength of her legs to deliver powerful kicks. Tsuyu can also use her elongated tongue in a way that resembles a grasper or whip to subdue her opponents.

Additionally, Tsuyu excels in aquatic environments- her frog-like anatomy allows her to move freely in the water without losing the strength or agility that most people would. She is capable in combat and/or in rescuing victims underwater, which makes her very useful for missions that take place in such situations. Tsuyu also possesses great teamwork, effectively combining her own Quirk abilities with those of anyone she is partnered with. Tsuyu is a very outstanding student with few to no weaknesses and can provide support to anyone, even to such powerful individuals as Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami and Tenya Ida. Her overall abilities make her one of the strongest students in her class.
