With London you take on the role of prominent architects responsible for rebuilding the city after the Great Fire of 1666 and guiding the city's development up to the 20th century. You must balance your vision, your finances and the needs of the inhabitants if you want to be the one who will rebuild London.
The game has four basic elements: the buildings, the money, the land and the poverty. Each of these elements affects the others, thus affecting your prestige. On your turn, you must develop the city for future profits, buy land, collect resources or activate your city, exploiting the land you have built. Money will affect your ability to build, but that is not the only goal. In the end, only the architects with the greatest prestige will be remembered.
