Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs \u2013 Flames of Ashtar is a new mini expansion for Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs, designed for those who want to continue their tiny but strategy-filled adventure in the world of Gloomhaven. It is a solo mini-campaign that serves as a narrative bridge between the base Gloomhaven: Buttons & Bugs and the Buttons & Bugs: Pub Crawlers expansion.<\/p>\n

In Buttons & Bugs: Flames of Ashtar, the player uncovers more of the story background and faces a new challenge before moving on to the events of Pub Crawlers. Cephalofair describes it as a lead-up mini-campaign and as a bonus story that takes place between the two products, creating a more complete continuation for those following the adventures of Buttons & Bugs.<\/p>\n

Like the base game, Gloomhaven Buttons & Bugs Flames of Ashtar is aimed at 1 player, aged 10 and up, with a playtime of about 20 minutes. It is a solo fantasy strategy experience with elements of dungeon crawler, tactical gameplay, and scenario-based adventure, in an extremely compact form.
